Hundreds of people are expected to join a Pride event in a Leicestershire town.

The first Loughborough Pride event will see four spaces around Wards End transformed into "event zones" on Saturday.

Free live entertainment is due to take place from 18:00 BST.

Jonathan Fraser, chair of the Loughborough Pride committee, said: "We want to build a legacy for Loughborough and create an evolving annual event that will become a highlight of the Charnwood calendar."
