A Derbyshire town hall will raise an armed forces union jack flag to mark the start of Armed Forces Week.
Swadlincote Town Hall will "proudly" showcase the flag on top of the town hall on Monday, until the conclusion of Armed Forces Week on 29 June.
The chairman of Swadlincote Royal British Legion will present the folded flag to the chair of South Derbyshire District Council, Sean Bambrick, at 13:20 BST, before it is raised shortly after.
South Derbyshire District Council said the raising of the flag symbolises the town's "respect and gratitude" for the armed forces.
A council spokesperson said: "We are honoured to fly the armed forces union flag in recognition of the courageous individuals who serve our country."
"This flag raising is a symbol of our community鈥檚 deep appreciation for their commitment and sacrifice."
The week culminates in Armed Forces Day, which takes place on 29 June.
