Man, 79, seriously injured in van crash
Police said a 79-year-old man was in hospital after the incident on Wednesday

A 79-year-old man suffered a serious head injury when he was hit by a van in Huddersfield, police said.
The pedestrian was hit by a brown Mercedes Sprinter van as the vehicle turned right out of Wood Street at about 11:00 BST on Wednesday.
The man was in a stable condition in hospital after the incident, West Yorkshire Police said.
Anyone who saw the crash or the movements of the vehicle or pedestrian beforehand is asked to contact the force.
