College welcomes HGVs to boost training
A college welcomes two lorries which bosses say will help boost training opportunities for students.
Cornwall College Camborne said the "significant investment" would help full-time students and apprentices learn the skills to allow them to progress in the heavy goods vehicle (HGV) industry.
The college said they were funded by the Department for Education.
Neil Atkinson, curriculum area manager for engineering and motor vehicle, said the purchase was a "fantastic addition" and the HGVs would allow the college "to offer even more comprehensive and up-to-date training for our students".
鈥淭hese state-of-the-art vehicles are a game changer for the HGV sector, giving aspiring engineers and mechanics an opportunity to learn and train locally,鈥 added Luke Bazeley, head of campus.
