Police name woman killed in A75 crash

A woman who was one of two people killed in a crash on the A75 near Annan has been named by police.
Melissa Delaney, 41, from Dumfries, was driving one of the three vehicles involved in the collision.
The accident happened at about 06:20 on Tuesday and led to the major through road being closed for nearly 10 hours with the emergency services attending the scene.
Ms Delaney was driving a Nissan Qashqai at the time of the accident. A 35-year-old male driver of a Peugeot Boxer van also died at the scene, but has not yet been named by police.
Appeal for eyewitnesses
The 49-year-old male driver of the third vehicle involved in the crash, a Renault Clio, was uninjured.
Police investigations into the accident are continuing and they are still seeking witnesses.
Insp Adnan Alam said: 鈥淥ur thoughts are with the family and friends of the people who died, and all those involved in the collision.
"We continue to offer them support as our inquiries progress.
鈥淚'd be keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or anyone with dashcam footage of the A75 around that time, please review your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.鈥
