A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of committing a terror offence, police said.
The boy, who was arrested at an address in west London on Wednesday, was detained on suspicion of possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
He was arrested as part of an investigation related to right-wing terrorist material, the Met Police said.
Commander Dominic Murphy said: "This arrest is indicative of a continuing and concerning trend of young people being drawn into and involved in terrorist-related activity."
The boy was taken to a west London police station and later released on bail pending further inquiries, police said.
Officers also carried out a search at an address in west London as part of the investigation, and inquiries remain ongoing.
Commander Murphy said about a fifth of all those arrested for terrorism offences last year were aged under 18.
He urged parents, friends and family to look out for warning signs that a child might be getting drawn into extremism or terrorism, and to "act early".
