Police appeal after man punched into coma
Police have released CCTV images to try and locate three men after a man was left in a coma after he was punched during a street fight.
The fight broke out between three men and another group of people in the Westborough area of Scarborough between 23:20 GMT and 23:35 GMT on 8 November.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said one man, in his 30s, was punched in the face by one of the three men "causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on the floor".
He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was placed in an induced coma while he continues to receive treatment for serious head injuries.
The group of three men were walking on Westborough in the direction of the Lord Rosebery Pub where they allegedly started fighting with the group of men and women walking near the Mountain Warehouse store.
The force spokesperson said: "The three suspects made off towards York Place in Scarborough prior to police arrival.
"We are asking people to come forward to help identify the three men."
