Man accused of importing drugs in motorhome

A 62-year-old man has appeared in court accused of trying to import ketamine and cannabis into the UK in a motorhome.
Russell King, from Barnsley, was arrested on Saturday after organised crime officers working with West Yorkshire Police recovered 100kg of ketamine from a vehicle in the Royston area.
Mr King appeared before Sheffield magistrates on Monday charged with seven offences, including allegations he supplied 78kg of cannabis to another person on 2 July.
He is also charged with two counts of conspiring to import a Class B drug using a motorhome, two counts of conspiring to supply, one count of possession with intent to supply and one further charge related to the importation of drugs.
Mr King, of The Green in Royston, was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 23 September.
