Arrest after man dies in crash and four injured

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal, two-vehicle crash near Worcester.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called to the scene on Pershore Lane in Warndon at about 22:20 BST on Monday.
Paramedics began administering advanced life support to the driver of an overturned car but the man, in his 50s, died at the scene.
Four men from the second vehicle - three in their 20s and one in his 30s - were treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to hospital, a spokesperson added.
The detained man, 24, was also arrested on suspicion of being unfit through drink or drugs, said West Mercia Police, which is investigating the crash involving a yellow Volkswagen Golf and a silver Honda Civic.
An ambulance service spokesperson said: "On arrival, crews found two cars had been involved in a collision and one of the cars had ended up on its side.
鈥淭he driver from the car on its side, a man, was in a critical condition. After being removed from the vehicle, ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support.
鈥淪adly, despite everyone鈥檚 best efforts, he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene."
She added: 鈥淭he four patients from the other car, all men, were already out of the vehicle when crews arrived.
鈥淭hey were all treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to hospital for further treatment.鈥
Police are asking for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
