Police issue warning over cold callers
Police have issued a warning about cold callers to residents in west Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police said it had received reports of cold callers offering gardening work in the area.
The force advised against using "unsolicited doorstep callers" to carry out work, warning the "risks are high".
It warned "glossy flyers or impressive websites" may not show the trader鈥檚 own work.
It also advised residents to avoid paying cash or transferring money before work has started.
The force urged residents to get in touch if they felt concerned about "rogue traders" in their area.
