Five industrial units can now be built on the former Bowling Iron Works site in Bradford

Plans have been approved for industrial units to be built in east Bradford after developers scaled the project back.

Z Khan originally hoped to build seven units on the former Bowling Iron Works site on Bowling Back Lane.

Highways officers raised concerns that the site would be too small to allow large vehicles such as bin lorries to enter and exit safely.

Bradford Council approved an amended scheme for five units to be constructed on the site.

Discussing the revised plans, highways officers said: "In light of our concerns, the units to the north of the site have been removed from the proposals which addresses previous highway concerns."
