Motorists in North Yorkshire have been warned to allow more time for their journeys due to several weeks of overnight closures on the busy A66 trans-Pennine route.
National Highways said westbound sections of the road, between Scotch Corner and Hartforth, were being resurfaced on weeknights throughout July.
The A66 would remain open on Saturday and Sunday nights, with a temporary 50mph (80km/h) speed limit in place during the day, officials said.
Work was set to take place between 20:00 BST and 06:00 BST on the affected days, and diversions would be in place, they added.
National Highways said the work would be carried out in phases on the following dates:
Scotch Corner to Melsonby crossroads:
- The 12 weeknights between Monday 1 July and Tuesday 16 July
Scotch Corner to Winston crossroads:
- The nine weeknights between Wednesday 17 July and Monday 29 July
Scotch Corner to Hartforth:
- The six weeknights between Tuesday 30 July and Tuesday 6 August
All work was subject to the weather and could be rescheduled in poor conditions, National Highways said.
