An e-scooter rider was seen reaching speeds of more than 40mph while travelling "dangerously" through a Derbyshire town.
Police seized the vehicle in Victoria Street, Shirebrook, and issued a warning to the public, adding e-scooters are illegal to ride on public roads.
The Shirebrook Safer Neighbourhood Team said the rider was spotted riding in and out of traffic and travelling "at speed" the wrong way on a one-way system on Monday evening.
The team has not confirmed where the incident took place but added the rider was "being a nuisance" as they travelled in and out of the side of bungalows and honked their horn.
In a warning to the public, a spokesperson for the team added: "The law is the law. Private e-scooters are illegal to ride on public roads."
