Man charged over death of child in Ramsgate

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a girl who had spent 13 months in hospital.

Everleigh Stroud died aged 14 months on 27 May 2022.

She had been in hospital since 21 April 2021, when police were called to an address in Dumpton Park Drive, Ramsgate, Kent.

Thomas Holford, 24 and from Pedlars Close, Danbury, Essex, appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday.

Police said he was known to Everleigh.
