Residents invited to vote in area plan referendum
- Published
Residents of an Oxfordshire town are being invited to take part in a referendum on the future of their area.
Cherwell District Council approved in February for the to go to a vote.
The plan, created by the parish council, identifies land for new homes, green space and a nursery. It also contains policies on zero carbon building and superfast broadband.
The referendum is being held on Thursday 2 May - the same day as the local council elections and the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election.
The question on the ballot paper will be: Do you want Cherwell District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Deddington to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
The count for the referendum will take place on Friday 3 May and the result published on the council's website that evening.
