The owners of a luxury car dealership have said they are "completely devastated" after 拢85,000 worth of items were stolen.

The alleged incident occurred at Whitson Prestige in Newport in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Two cars, a black BMW X3 and a white Mercedes, as well as a designer briefcase were taken, Gwent Police said.

Rory Collingbourne, co-owner of the business, said a customer had been due to collect the BMW but was forced to cancel "after finding out the vehicle had been stolen鈥.

"Discovering the extensive damage and loss of vehicles as well as both valuable and sentimental items on Sunday morning was a huge blow," he added.

Police said 鈥渁n unknown person or persons have allegedly smashed a glass door and entered the address鈥 between 03:00 BST and 04:30 on Sunday.

Mr Collingbourne has posted footage of the break-in in an attempt to find those responsible, and the family are offering a reward for anyone who can provide relevant information.

According to the owners, it is one of several break-ins at car dealerships in Newport in recent weeks.

Mr Collingbourne added that he hoped "justice is served for all those impacted".

The cars stolen were a BMW, registration LC71 VDX and a Mercedes with the registration RF19 JVN.
