Unexploded bomb found behind pub
An unexploded bomb has been found outside a pub in County Durham.
The piece of unexploded ordnance was discovered by a member of the public behind The Church Mouse pub in Chester-le-Street shortly after 12:00 GMT on Wednesday.
A cordon was in place for several hours during which an army bomb disposal unit was able to detonate the bomb in a controlled explosion.
The exclusion zone has since been lifted, police said.
