A serving Metropolitan Police constable has admitted to assaulting a fellow officer.

Kimberley Marshall, 40, kicked a female Surrey Police officer in the stomach in Guildford on 28 December 2023, police said.

The incident occurred after Marshall, of Bracknell, Berkshire, was arrested for an unrelated offence that no further action has been taken on, they added.

At Staines Magistrates' Court on Friday, she pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker.

Marshall, who was attached to the South West Command Unit, was given a six-month conditional discharge from the force.

The Met Police confirmed she remained suspended from duty.

"Now that criminal matters have concluded, misconduct proceedings will take place," a Met Police spokesman added.
