Police appeal after spate of tool thefts from vans

Police are looking for witnesses to a "spate" of tool thefts in the early hours of the morning.

Between midnight and 1:00 BST on Tuesday five separate vans were broken into, Surrey Police said.

Tools were stolen from vehicles near Petters Road, Ashtead, and police described the "getaway car" as a black Audi using cloned plates.

Surrey Police said: "The suspects are described as three men wearing balaclavas and speaking with Eastern European accents."
