Killer of homeless man on the run from open prison

A man who killed a homeless father has gone missing from an open prison.
Suffolk Police said Sean Doherty from Corby, Northamptonshire, failed to return to Hollesley Bay prison in Suffolk after being on temporary release.
Doherty, 30, is serving a sentence of eight years and five months for manslaughter after killing Thomas Gravestock in 2018.
The police have appealed for anyone who knows where he is to get in touch.
Northampton Crown Court was told in 2019 that Sean Doherty attacked Mr Gravestock, a father of two children, over a £20 debt.
He took a photo of Mr Gravestock with his own foot on the head of his victim, who suffered 35 blunt force injuries, and sent it to friends.
Doherty, from Lincoln Way in Corby, admitted manslaughter.
