Teen in court on attempted murder charge after attack

A 16-year-old boy charged with attempted murder after an attack on a teenager in Leamington Spa has appeared in court.
Warwickshire Police were called to reports of a fight outside shops on St Margaret's Road on Sunday at about 13:20 GMT.
The male victim, also 16, was taken to hospital with serious injuries believed to have been caused by a weapon, the force added.
The accused, from Birmingham, faced additional charges of wounding with intent and possession of a bladed weapon.
He was also charged with two counts of conveying a threatening message.
After an appearance at Coventry Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, the 16-year-old was remanded into custody.
He is due to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 30 January.
