A man who raped and sexually assaulted a vulnerable woman in West Sussex has been jailed.
David Pacera was convicted of four sexual offences after his victim recorded the attack on her phone.
A 90-minute audio recording of the victim saying 鈥渘o鈥 multiple times, which she recorded during the incident in Worthing on 3 January, was played to the court.
At Hove Crown Court, the 42-year-old was given a seven-year prison sentence.
Pacera, of no fixed address, was also given an indefinite restraining order against the victim after he was found guilty of rape, attempted rape, digital penetration and sexual assault.
Det Con Ellie Treagust said it was a 鈥渕onstrous attack on a vulnerable victim鈥.
鈥淪he reported the assault immediately and, despite the brutality of what she suffered, had the presence of mind to capture evidence at the time,鈥 she said.
鈥淚 would like to thank the victim for having the courage and determination to see this investigation through, and appear in court for the trial. Her bravery has helped make Sussex a safer place for everyone.鈥
The victim, who has lifelong anonymity, was safeguarded and supported by officers while the investigation was undertaken, police said.
