Amy Irons 'thrilled' to host 成人快手 Scotland's Hogmanay
Radio and TV personality Amy Irons will host 成人快手 One Scotland's Hogmanay celebrations this year for the first time.
Former Wet Wet Wet lead singer Marti Pellow, traditional Celtic folk band Skippinish and Scottish country folk artist Rianne Downey will join the Scots broadcaster in the studio to begin the countdown to the bells.
The traditional Lone Piper on the ramparts of Edinburgh Castle, the firing of Mons Megs cannon and firework display in the sky above Scotland's capital will also feature in the show which marks the start of the New Year.
Meanwhile, on the 成人快手 Scotland channel, comedian Des Clarke will look back on Scotland's standout moments from 2024 with the Not Quite End of Year Show.
Ms Iron's will take over presenting the Hogmanay show from Edith Bowman who has fronted it for the past three years.
Long-time host Jackie Bird, who presented the show for 20 years, last brought in the New Year in 2019.
This year Skipinnish will welcome the audience into 2025 with a rendition of 鈥淎uld Lang Syne", accompanied by Scottish jazz vocalist Georgia C茅cile.
Ms Irons, who hosted 成人快手 Scotland's Not Quite End of Year Show last year, said she was "thrilled" celebrate the New Year with viewers across the nation.
She said: "It鈥檚 an honour to be following some pretty impressive footsteps and taking on this gig.
"We鈥檝e got an incredible line-up of talent joining us on the night to get the party started and make sure 2025 arrives in style."
