Police hunt van driver after woman hurt in hit-and-run
Police are hunting a driver of a white van after a woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Edinburgh.
The 31-year-old was taken the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after the incident in The Wisp area at about 14:10 on Saturday.
The van failed to stop and made off in the direction of Old Dalkeith Road and Ferniehill Drive. The road was closed for about four hours.
Police Scotland said the woman was in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
Road Policing Constable Andrew Crothers said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 vital we trace the van involved in this incident and I鈥檓 appealing to the public for help."
