Toy cars bought in memory of a three-year-old boy who died of cancer have been stolen, a school has said.
Morgan Ridler died in 2023 following a rare cancer diagnosis when he was just two years old.
His school, Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Pontybrenin, in Swansea, said that three cars bought in tribute to Morgan have been stolen and 鈥渄estroyed鈥.
South Wales Police said the theft occurred at 01:50 BST in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Morgan died at T欧 Hafan, a children's hospice in the Vale of Glamorgan, on 28 June 2023 following eight rounds of chemotherapy.
At the time, his mum Natalie and dad Matt said their "beautiful boy started on his next great adventure".
"He was peaceful and comfortable with his family around him," they said.
On social media, the school said: 鈥淚n September we purchased four play cars for the school. The cars were in tribute to our lovely pupil Morgan.鈥
It added that 鈥減ersons unknown鈥 gained access to school grounds and proceeded to remove items from the shed and yard.
鈥淭hree of Morgan鈥檚 cars were removed from the school grounds and destroyed.鈥
Last June, less a week before Morgan's death, he was surprised with a Formula 1 car, a fire engine and his first ever trip in an aeroplane.
The following month, RAF aerobatics team the Red Arrows drew a heart-shaped tribute to Morgan over Swansea Bay.
South Wales Police has appealed for anyone with information that could assist its investigation to contact the force.
