A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing which left the victim with life-threatening injuries.

West Midlands Police was called to reports of a disorder in High Street, Erdington, Birmingham, at about 17:00 BST on Thursday.

Osama Adam, 31, of Johnson Road, Birmingham, has also been charged with possession of a knife and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 19 July.
