Man arrested for alleged fake car insurance claims

Officers from City of London Police have arrested a man in Bradford on suspicion of making fake car insurance claims.

A spokesperson for the force said the man, 41, is alleged to have claimed about £140,000 fraudulently.

He was arrested in the Eccleshill area in the early hours of 1 October by officers from City of London Police's Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department.

The suspect has since been released on bail, the spokesperson confirmed.
