Police are searching for four youths after a burglary at a secondary school caused £10,000 worth of damage.

The sports hall at Norton College was left "unusable" following the break-in on Sunday due to vandalism, North Yorkshire Police said.

Equipment at the school in Norton was also damaged in classrooms, items stolen and schoolwork "desecrated", according to officers.

A CCTV image of four suspects was shared by the force, with the investigation described as "fast-paced".

Officers appealed to nearby residents who might "recall anything suspicious" before 19:00 BST or just after 20:30 to contact them.
