He has battled to keep bams off Scotland's streets, grilled political leaders and apologised for policing blunders again and again.
Now Scot Squad's Chief Cameron Miekelson is set for a new challenge - starring in his own sitcom.
The popular character, played by Jack Docherty, will be front and centre in a new spin-off from the police comedy show, called The Chief.
The four-episode series will arrive on 成人快手 One Scotland and 成人快手 iPlayer later in 2024.
Docherty said he was "delighted" to be returning to the character, who has been a fixture in Scot Squad since it launched in 2014.
The new programme will feature the Chief at home and at work, while dealing with colleagues, bams and family alike.
Docherty said: "I鈥檓 delighted that the people鈥檚 chief is back in a brand new sitcom.
"We find him still clinging to his job as the top dog, the big man, the numero uno in a modern, progressive Scottish police force.
"He鈥檚 desperate to prove that he鈥檚 still relevant in the world of office politics, culture wars, family and fatherhood.
"I love playing this character and can鈥檛 wait to unleash him once again on the great Scottish public.鈥
The Chief's Election Interviews: Education and health
In 2019 the character proved so popular that he interviewed a number of Scotland's politicians, including quizzing the then First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, on whether she considered Boris Johnson and Donald Trump to be bams or not.
Casting details for the rest of the show will be announced at a later date.
The show is one of two new comedy programmes announced by 成人快手 Scotland, alongside Stevens & McCarthy.
It will be a four episode sketch show starring Gayle Telfer Stevens and Louise McCarthy, who have both written for Scot Squad and starred as raucous duo the Dolls in a series of live shows.

The new series will feature a variety of sketches, spoofs, skits and songs, with filming getting underway at the end of January.
Ms McCarthy said she was "really excited" by the opportunity.
She added: "It鈥檚 pretty much an all-girl team here and we are so thrilled to bring this girl power energy to your screens."
