Staff from a West Sussex hospital are taking part in a cycle challenge for charity.
The team from the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are competing in the on Sunday to raise funds for the hospital's own charity.
The team of seven, which includes consultants based in East Grinstead, is tackling the 51-mile (82km) course from Lingfield Park racecourse across the Weald on the Kent and Sussex border as well as Hever Castle.
Ken Sneddon, consultant surgeon, said the hospital charity "works tirelessly to provide a variety of things to make the patient experience better".
He said: "The least we can do in return is to support it.
鈥淚f we can do this by simply riding our bikes through some beautiful Kent countryside, and having people sponsor us to do so, then that鈥檚 a win win."
Camilla Lane, hospital head of fundraising and voluntary services, said: 鈥淲e are so grateful to our fantastic colleagues for taking on this amazing challenge to help raise funds for our hospital charity."
