Arson caused 'extensive damage' to Moneyreagh house
A County Down home has been left with "extensive damage" after an arson attack on Tuesday morning.
Police said they received a report at about 02:30 BST that a vacant house in the Magaluf Park area of Moneyreagh was on fire.
Sgt Mackenzie said that a window on the front door had been smashed and the fire "had spread throughout the ground floor and partially onto the second floor".
Police attended along with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service who extinguished the fire.
There were no reports of any injuries and the fire did not spread to neighbouring properties.
Police said enquiries are ongoing "to determine exactly what happened, a motive and who was responsible".
They are also appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
