A planning application to build 67 homes on farmland in has been submitted.

Developers are seeking permission from North Lincolnshire Council to build on a site on the northern edge of Crowle.

The properties, just, south of Eastoft Road, would all be bungalows with seven listed as affordable homes.

A request for extra funds from the developers to support the local medical practice has also been submitted.

Trent View Medical practice in Crowle is already pressured by limited space according to the submission on behalf of NHS North Lincolnshire Health Care Partnership.

They are asking for nearly 拢58,000 from the developers as the extra housing is expected to have an impact on new registrations at the practice.

Access to the new homes would be off Eastoft Road, where a 30mph speed limit would be extended and a new bus stop created next to the development's entrance.

The homes would be built on the higher section of the sloping site, away from the road, with a pond created close to the A161 to help with drainage.

In their submission, the developer says: 鈥淭he development will give opportunities for local families looking for single storey properties in a community where sites for this type of property are currently non-existent owing to the low lying nature of most of Crowle鈥.
