Two held after man seriously injured in Barrow

Two people have been arrested after a man in his 50s sustained a life-threatening head injury in an attack.
Cumbria Police said the incident, involving three males and a female, happened on Cavendish Street in Barrow at about 03:58 BST.
A 24-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested and remain in police custody, officers said.
Police said the injured man remained in hospital in Preston.
The arrested man, from Barrow, was detained on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
The teenager, also from Barrow, was held on suspicion of attempt to assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm, police said.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
