Elderly cyclist injured in suspected hit-and-run

Police are investigating a suspected hit-and-run after a crash involving a cyclist and a car.

Officers were called to the junction of Inkersall Green Road and Inkersall Road, in Inkersall, Derbyshire, on Tuesday at about 11:30 BST.

A man in his 70s sustained "bruising and an injury to his face", Derbyshire Police said.

The force said the driver of the car left the scene.

Officers are trying to trace the driver of the vehicle, described as a small red car, and asked any witnesses to contact the force.
