Funding secured to save 27 Gaelic development jobs

The Scottish government says it will provide extra funding to save 27 jobs at Gaelic development agency Bòrd na Gà idhlig.
The community officers promote the Gaelic language and culture through local projects across Scotland.
Government funding for the roles had come to an end.
But ministers have agreed an initial payment of £175,000 to support the jobs, and have asked Bòrd na Gà idhlig to carry out a review of the community scheme to help guide what further funding might be needed.
