Two men were arrested after more than 拢900 of protein powder was stolen from a Nottinghamshire shop.
Boots in St Peter's Retail Park, Mansfield, was targeted twice on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nottinghamshire Police said.
Officers drove to the retail park following reports of the second theft at about 15:40 BST on Wednesday, where they spotted two suspects matching the thieves' descriptions.
Two men, aged 35 and 36, were pursued on foot by police before being detained and arrested on suspicion of theft.
The force said during the second incident two shelves' worth of protein powder were emptied into a bag, before a suspect "brazenly lifted it over the alarm system on their way out".
Two shopping bags full of protein powder tubs were later seized by officers.
PC Kevin Marshall said: 鈥淭argeting shoplifters is one of our policing priorities in Mansfield, so it was pleasing to be able to locate and detain two suspects within minutes of us hearing about this incident.
鈥淪hop thefts such as this can have a really detrimental impact on local communities and affect people鈥檚 livelihoods, so we will continue to focus on trying to stop those who offend in this way going forward.鈥
