Police are appealing for witnesses and CCTV images after a van driver was threatened with a screwdriver and robbed in Surrey.

The attack took place at 12:50 BST on Friday in Caterham, Surrey Police said.

The victim was driving along Coulsdon Road, near the junction with Oakgrove, when he felt something hit the rear of his van.

As he got out to investigate, two men approached on a moped, threatened him with a screwdriver and took about nine packages from the vehicle, officers said.

The pair then left the scene on the moped, past Oakgrove and down Chaldon Road.

Police described the first suspect as a black man, about 5ft 9ins (175cm) tall, and skinny.

He was wearing a black tracksuit and a balaclava under a black helmet.

The other male suspect is described as black, skinny, and wearing a grey tracksuit, black balaclava and helmet.

The pair were riding an old moped with an orange reflective stripe on the side from the top of the front wheel to the back of the bike, police said.

Anyone with CCTV, dashcam or helmetcam footage has been asked to come forward.
