Drivers are facing a series of diversions on a major stretch of a motorway as dates are released for overnight closures.
National Highways said most of its M6 Warrington to Wigan upgrade was set to be completed over the next month, starting later and ending on 3 May.
Extra emergency areas, new technology and a lane in each direction between junctions 21a and junction 26 are to be added.
All four lanes of the upgraded carriageway will be resurfaced across long sections of the route between the Croft and Orrell interchanges before the work is completed next spring.
The carriageway will be closed overnight from 21:00 to 06:00 over the next few weeks while resurfacing work is carried out.
They include:
Northbound junction 21a to junction 22 – 19, 22 and 23 April as well as 1, 2 and 3 May
Northbound junction 22 to junction 23 - 17 and 18 April
Northbound junction 23 to junction 26 – 16 April
