Three people have been arrested after a man was taken to hospital with what police said "appeared to be stab wounds."
Officers were called to a property on Weston Close in Morda, Oswestry in Shropshire, at about 21:00 BST on Friday.
The victim, aged 43, was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital with serious injuries which were not thought to be life threatening.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, West Mercia Police said.
A second man, aged 37, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon and obstructing police.
A 53-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, a force spokesperson added.
All three remain in police custody.
Det Ch Insp Joanne Woods said she wanted to reassure the public that it was an "isolated" incident.
“Police officers will remain at the scene to help with our investigation and offer reassurance to anyone who needs to speak to them," she added.
