Football fan banned for attack during match

A football fan will have to surrender his passport this summer after pleading guilty to assaulting someone at a match.
Luke Nickless, of Morville Road in Shrewsbury, got into a fight at a Shrewsbury Town FC match in February.
A three year football banning order means Nickless will not be allowed to enter certain areas of Shrewsbury when Shrewsbury Town FC play at home.
He will also be among more than 1,6000 fans told to give their passports to police when England play matches outside of the country, a measure which will be in place for the Euro 2024 Championships in Germany in June.
Nickless, 24, also received a 拢120 fine for the attack, which occurred when Shrewsbury played Lincoln City at the LNER stadium on 27 February.
He will be placed on the Shrewsbury Pubwatch ban list for the duration of the order.
Sgt Neil Ward, from Shrewsbury鈥檚 safer neighbourhood team, said he welcomed the judgement at Lincolnshire Magistrates' Court.
鈥淎nyone wishing to engage in disorderly behaviour at Shrewsbury Town Football matches will be dealt with robustly," he said.
