Plans have been announced for the Queen to visit Shrewsbury's farmers' market.
Her Majesty will also stop to take a look at the town's rebuilt Flaxmill Maltings building on her official visit on 27 March.
Shropshire Council said people were encouraged to come and "enjoy the occasion", but asked them not to drive into the town centre.
A number of roads will be closed on the day of the visit and the council apologised for the likely disruption.
Vince Hunt, the chairman of Shropshire Council, said: "It would be marvellous if there were crowds in The Square giving her a warm welcome."
He also said it was a "great honour" to be hosting the visit and added: "I am sure Her Majesty will enjoy both the Farmers鈥 Market and catching a glimpse of our vibrant county town at its best.鈥
The road closures will begin at 07:30 GMT on 27 March and end at 14:00.
They will affect Wyle Cop, High Street, Milk Street, Market Street, Princess Street, The Square, Shoplatch and Bellstone.
On-street parking in the town centre will also be suspended.
