A television catching fire has led to a block of flats being evacuated in Devon.

Devon and Somerset Fire Service said crews were called out to the incident at a two-storey building in Bickleigh at about 21:00 BST on Monday.

The fire service said the blaze was in the first floor of the building and all the people inside managed to get out.

Two people were treated by paramedics at the scene and the flat was heavily damaged by smoke, firefighters added.

Crews from Camels Head, Crownhill and Greenbank fire stations were called out.

The fire service said the cause of the blaze was believed to be accidental.
