Plans for a multi-million redevelopment of part of Colchester's city centre have been unveiled.
More than 500 residents were involved in shaping the proposals for St Botolph's Circus.
The St Botolph's Circus redevelopment is the first part of wider regeneration plans.
Colchester Council leader David King thanked residents for their input.
The redevelopment project will involve laying the foundations for a future bus interchange and creating a new heritage walking route from St Botolph's Circus, through St Botolph's Priory, to Colchester Castle.
Kevin Bentley, leader of Essex County Council, said: 鈥淭he redevelopment of St Botolph's Circus will revolutionise connectivity for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers, allowing them to seamlessly coexist.鈥
The councils claim the scheme will help improve traffic flow in the area.
