- Published
Firefighters have been tackling a large blaze at a derelict building in West Yorkshire which started in the early hours of the morning.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said they sent 12 fire engines and two aerial appliances to the scene at Canal Mills in Armley, Leeds, just after 05:00 BST.
People living nearby have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to heavy smoke coming from the fire.
Armley Road has been closed in both directions from the A58 Wellington Road to A647 Canal Street.
There has, so far, been no confirmation on whether anyone was injured or on what caused the blaze.
