A woman in her 80s has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in a Surrey petrol station.

Police said the crash, which involved three vehicles and the pedestrian, happened at about 15:50 BST on Friday, at Sainsbury's petrol station in Water Lane, Farnham.

The woman's next of kin are aware, police said.

The force is appealing for witnesses and is asking for anyone with information to get in touch.

A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: "The petrol filling station at our Water Lane store in Farnham was temporarily closed for emergency services to attend an incident and we are supporting the police with their investigation.

"It has now reopened and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."
