A pedestrian has died in a crash in a Derbyshire village.
Emergency services were called to Kilburn at about 07:40 BST on Monday after a collision on the A609 Woodhouse Road.
A grey Subaru Forester SUV mounted the pavement near the junction with Lady Lea Road, reports said, where it hit a pedestrian.
The victim, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene say Derbyshire Police.
The driver of the Forester, a 79-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Officers, who would like anyone with information to make contact, say the family of the pedestrian are aware and being supported by specialist officers.
The road was closed for several hours while investigation work and vehicle recovery took place.
The area was opened back up to traffic at about 13:00.
