Road shut after death of woman
A woman has been pronounced dead after emergency services were called to a person with serious injuries in Devon on Friday morning.
Devon and Cornwall Police and paramedics were called to Atlantic Way, Westward Ho! at 07:50 BST.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area as Kingsley Road to Fosketh Hill was closed.
Police said the death was not considered to be suspicious.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: "We were called at 07:42hrs on Friday 20 September to an incident in Westward Ho!.
"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene."
Police said the woman's next of kin had been made aware.
