An opportunity has arisen to play an important role in the future of the Pension Scheme. A vacancy for a Member Nominated Trustee Director has arisen for a term running to 30 April 2026. All eligible members can apply for this role, regardless of background or position in the organisation.
As a member of the Trustee Board you would contribute to ensuring that the Scheme is governed in accordance with its Trust Deed and changing legislation, and making decisions on strategy. You would help to decide investment policy to help sustain the Scheme financially, and monitor performance.
You don’t need to be a pensions expert or have a background in finance or investment, or specialist knowledge. The Trustee Board is looking for enthusiastic people who have a basic understanding of pensions, are willing to learn more, and most importantly dedicated to helping ensure the success of the Scheme.
Being a Trustee Director is demanding, but the work is interesting and varied. A Trustee Director can expect to obtain considerable satisfaction from playing an important role in the governance of the Scheme for the benefit of current and former 成人快手 staff. Further information about the Trustee Director role can be found and will be covered in the briefing session which is compulsory for those wishing to apply.
The briefing session for those who want to learn more will be held on 7 July 2022 (14:00- 15:30), with a potential alternative date of 15 July 2022 (10:00-11:30) if required. They will be at London NBH, with the facility to join via Zoom if you wish. To book a place or to find out more about the role, please contact the Scheme Secretary Rachel Hallett (rachel.hallett@bbc.co.uk) by 30 June 2022. Applications will only be accepted from those who attend the briefing session.
The Trustee Board welcomes applications from all employees who are contributing or deferred members of the Scheme, and is committed to diversity and inclusion. A diverse mix of people from different backgrounds can bring a variety of skills, perspectives, personal qualities and experiences to the Trustee Board, helping the Scheme to operate effectively for all its members and beneficiaries.
To be eligible to apply, you must be an Employed Member of the Scheme, i.e. a contributing member or a deferred member who is still employed by the 成人快手 or a participating employer, and you must be a UK resident. You must also have the support of two other Employed Members. If there are two or more applications, an election will be conducted by Civica Election Services (CES).
