They say that youth is wasted on the young, and these young-at-heart Glastonbury 2017 legends prove it. Their combined age is 737 (an average of 67), but here's the thing - that's an absolutely minuscule number compared to the hundreds of millions of records they've sold between them.

Older statespeople of Glastonbury 2017, we salute you!

Kris Kristofferson - 81

Country singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson was born in 1936, meaning he was already deep into his 30s when he broke through - helped, in no small part, by Janis Joplin having a posthumous US No.1 with his song Me and Bobby McGee in 1971. He's been a huge figure in both music and film since, and there isn't a man alive who wouldn't want to look as cool as he does at 81.

Barry Gibb - 70

Barry's extraordinary career neatly mirrors the history of rock and pop since its birth in the 50s. He formed his band rock'n'roll/skiffle The Rattlesnakes in 1955, found international fame in the 60s as a member of the Bee Gees, who then morphed into a disco group and became even more famous in the 70s. Short of releasing a grime album in the 21st century, the man has seen and done it all.

Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders) - 65

Yup, we were shocked to find out that Chrissie was of bus-pass age, especially after watching her incredible set with The Pretenders at this year's festival. But she'd had a career as an NME writer, among other things, before she formed the group in her late-20s in 1978 with James Honeyman-Scott, Pete Farndon and Martin Chambers. Chrissie's been the mainstay of the band ever since.

The Jacksons - 251 (average: 63)

Jermaine, Tito, Marlon, Jackie - legends all! And what a debut Glastonbury performance that was headlining the West Holts Stage on Saturday night. Bonus pub-quiz point if you knew that Marlon is the youngest of the four brothers, although Michael was a year younger than Marlon (they joined the group at the same time, after which the Jackson Brothers became known as The Jackson 5).

Nile Rodgers (Chic) - 64

Now, we're not even kidding, but if you started to crunch the numbers of how many records Nile Rodgers has had a hand in (as a songwriter, performer and producer), you'd probably get close to a billion. From forming Chic in 1976, through to producing Madonna's Like a Virgin, David Bowie and Diana Ross's biggest-selling albums (Let's Dance and Diana, respectively), Duran Duran and working with Daft Punk on Get Lucky, Nile's been there or thereabouts in pop music for over 40 years. Bow down!

Ata Kak - 57

The nipper on this list at a very youthful 57! It's Ata Kak, who for many people was the revelation of the festival. The Ghanaian dance-rap artist may never even have become known to a 21st century audience if it wasn't bloggers and cult labels like making music he recorded in the 90s available online for the first time. It was ahead of its time, so time had to catch up and you absolutely have to watch the above clip - pure joy.

Jeremy Corbyn and Michael Eavis - 149 (68 and 81)

There were chants for the Labour leader all weekend, and he pulled a huge crowd to the Pyramid Stage for a speech, and also to introduce Run the Jewels.

As for Michael - he's the eldest of the legends on this list, beating Kris to the top spot by just a few months.
