Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand will be swapping hats for the opening set on Sunday 7 January, going from supertar defender to label boss as he showcases two rising talents from his White Chalk Music label, the sultry Nia Jai, who was the label's first female signing, and the full-on Melody. The following week, red turns to Blue as local-hero-gone-huge Simon Webbe takes control. He'll be playing out new material from Manchester's UK Team, with some quality upfront hip hop from the likes of Hoodman, H20, Hayes and Riddla.

Completing the podcast line-up on Sunday 21 and 28 January are the soulful sounds of Lemar and a very special and very big surprise guest, so you'll have to keep an eye and an ear on 1Xtra to find out who it is.
In case you're wondering what a podcast is, 1Xtra has also got a few handy tips from their podcast kings, Ras Kwame and Twin B. > |
